Ever wonder what happened to the fastest ride on the Strip? 🎢 I took a trip to the south end of Las Vegas Boulevard to find the remains of Speed: The Ride.
Once the crown jewel of the Sahara Hotel. It opened in 2000 and closed in 2011. These track pieces have been sitting in this vacant lot across from Mandalay Bay for years. It’s even on Google Maps!
It’s a bittersweet look at Vegas history gathering dust in the desert.
