One of the most famous and unforgiving stretches of road in the Western United States is the Sidewinder on Historic Route 66.
Beginning at the historic Cool Springs, Arizona, it snakes through the Black Mountains with 191 bone-rattling curves. Eight grueling miles later, it finally drops you into the wild streets of Oatman.
