If you have spent any time recently on the Las Vegas Strip, you probably saw those olive green little boxes on wheels and thought, “What is that thing?” It’s a Zoox.
Zoox is the new autonomous rideshare vehicle being tested on the Las Vegas Strip. I went for several test rides and loved it. I think you will too!
Now out of Beta and open to the general public. Zoox is offering rides at no charge while the regulatory paths are still being cleared. Once approvals are finalized, probably later this year, the company expects to begin charging fares similar to what users might pay with taxis or ride-hail services.
The current pickup and drop-off points are:
- Resorts World Las Vegas
- AREA15
- Topgolf
- New York-New York
- Luxor
It’s easy to use, offers a smooth, safe ride, and has better driving skills than any taxi or Uber I've ridden in. Also, no driver means nobody to tip!
Check out my YouTube Video:
Please Remember: like most EV-powered vehicles, it’s loaded with cameras and sensors, so don’t do anything you don’t want to end up on any of those “stupid people” videos on YouTube!
